YNPA Co-chairs to step down this autumn

After four successful years as co-chairs of Young NPA, in which they have transformed the group and taken it from strength to strength, Emma Wormington and Lee Thompson will step down this autumn.

In their time as co-chairs, Lee and Emma have turned YNPA into its own membership category which has been growing annually. A calendar of regular events including regional meetings and sold-out summer events and the National have proved incredibly popular.

Emma and Lee wrote:

“After much thought, Lee and I have decided that the time is right for us to step down from our roles as Co-Chair of YNPA.

It has been a genuine privilege to serve in this position, and we have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside everyone.

We are very grateful for the support, kind words of encouragement and commitment we have experienced throughout our time in the role from both the NPA and PIG.

Together, with the YNPA group, we feel we have achieved a great deal and are proud of the progress we have made over the last 3-4 years. It has been rewarding to see the group continue to grow both in size and levels of engagement and we have every confidence that the group will continue to thrive in the years ahead.

Lee and I would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed their time, energy, and expertise.

Although we are stepping down as Co-Chairs, we will always look back on our time in the role with great fondness and appreciation.

NPA will be starting the recruitment process shortly and we look forward to handing over to a new chair at the end of the year.

The NPA will shortly be publishing the recruitment process for the new YNPA chairs which will conclude in time for handover at this year’s YNPA National in Cambridge.
